We have a few minor issues that need some tinkering with but for the most part, we are an above average lodge. Thanks to the few who work so hard to make it that way and the many who support this lodge by continuing to pay their dues. Without both, we would surely flounder.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjM628HcMXFOzCQ_FTX0bRlmUL7Lu-_dPp2q5-OpChPus8TB1YV1XsrTB7_CcFqN6ysYJBcmcS2KDwDxbhKgX2vOHUkkax7BCfugnU4JXLWPQPJAxWedWQqo6J_rKewGdi11ViNaXxwRXk/s1600/DSC03613.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjM628HcMXFOzCQ_FTX0bRlmUL7Lu-_dPp2q5-OpChPus8TB1YV1XsrTB7_CcFqN6ysYJBcmcS2KDwDxbhKgX2vOHUkkax7BCfugnU4JXLWPQPJAxWedWQqo6J_rKewGdi11ViNaXxwRXk/s320/DSC03613.JPG" /></a></div>Mike Joneshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08855605114054426880noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5461996939680396104.post-72660565733521264322013-09-09T20:05:00.001-04:002013-09-09T20:05:31.793-04:00Passing of Vickie ReavisIt is our sad duty to report that Vickie Reavis passed September 5th. It's a wonderful lodge with 800+ Brother Elks. Basically at DD clinics, reports are given on various programs of the Grand Lodge. Those giving reports from our Lodge for the W/C District included Bob Sce for Fundraising and Govt Relations, Linda Brown for Americanism, Mike Jones for Drug Awareness and John Salonen for Veteran's Service.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEIvG-nBb7n2Rv5qkCHkRTOUZ1i-I3BmGGfLZnhIljQF5C6pPFkk3Et1EdYDaXfLX_LEfOw9oN5hLC9pR5a5yR6R3ysnqSa1TpPlwvwCmE6AhNHGpXZEb3bnlHDuZwcggX_Jt1KWSjk_c/s1600-h/DSC01716.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; FLOAT: right; CLEAR: both" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEIvG-nBb7n2Rv5qkCHkRTOUZ1i-I3BmGGfLZnhIljQF5C6pPFkk3Et1EdYDaXfLX_LEfOw9oN5hLC9pR5a5yR6R3ysnqSa1TpPlwvwCmE6AhNHGpXZEb3bnlHDuZwcggX_Jt1KWSjk_c/s320/DSC01716.JPG" /></a> Our Order is definitely struggling with membership although these difficult times can offer an opportunity to attract qualified people to join. As for our Grand Lodge programs, the Hoop Shoot program is alive and well with the district and State contests coming up soon. The Veteran's activities that most of the 8 lodges do for the Salisbury VA were lauded and a letter of acknowledgement and thanks was read.<br /><br />Some of the pictures show the newly revamped downstairs portion of the High Point Lodge. The pool is huge and the large covered shelter looks like a nice place to sit and get out of a hot sun.<br /><br />More pictures can be seen of High Point on our web album (link should be below ).<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj97V5LjF4wSMKpJsw4nGFkxZCm3T827zrP1bOSawa9ABj217LmElzcq7juDQRNSpU4hHtgg0tiaAZaIhU6P_xHtzkHHeNWJSOkuSd4Y34Q7GCprCxit65mM4uw_E8tRb6cp9rQkHoSuCw/s1600-h/DSC01724.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; FLOAT: right; CLEAR: both" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj97V5LjF4wSMKpJsw4nGFkxZCm3T827zrP1bOSawa9ABj217LmElzcq7juDQRNSpU4hHtgg0tiaAZaIhU6P_xHtzkHHeNWJSOkuSd4Y34Q7GCprCxit65mM4uw_E8tRb6cp9rQkHoSuCw/s320/DSC01724.JPG" /></a> <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB-DNtJv-eZgbIrvnId841oZ66FK6Kd5e7IJdAckt67p3ZUO268H3hL7hDZCcaPgJJhk6VtVAVyg4NEUF3voo4Pkd2YMNfjphk4ArcYTvTUozteoLlHEKq6nwR6awPUTnq91X_zebgHgw/s1600-h/DSC01718.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; FLOAT: right; CLEAR: both" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB-DNtJv-eZgbIrvnId841oZ66FK6Kd5e7IJdAckt67p3ZUO268H3hL7hDZCcaPgJJhk6VtVAVyg4NEUF3voo4Pkd2YMNfjphk4ArcYTvTUozteoLlHEKq6nwR6awPUTnq91X_zebgHgw/s320/DSC01718.JPG" /></a><div style='clear:both; text-align:RIGHT'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div>Mike Joneshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08855605114054426880noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5461996939680396104.post-80150951912680562562010-01-22T23:21:00.003-05:002010-01-22T23:26:01.922-05:00Brother Elk Richard Straub passes away Jan 13, 2010<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiShRohq59_a5op_Me4F5yFdqwblIxrwvPQ0CbIFsjAERMd7aDt6OLfO8vPnm2SfhASfVcRLfdhzcKos-jsZSa3ogNB5jAj1kIgKk6Pi1JCAUI-pHf_MLuUJ9vEoV6DmcIeIHiWKpwEeGQ/s1600-h/RichardStraub1_13_10.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 101px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiShRohq59_a5op_Me4F5yFdqwblIxrwvPQ0CbIFsjAERMd7aDt6OLfO8vPnm2SfhASfVcRLfdhzcKos-jsZSa3ogNB5jAj1kIgKk6Pi1JCAUI-pHf_MLuUJ9vEoV6DmcIeIHiWKpwEeGQ/s320/RichardStraub1_13_10.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5429786716936620194" border="0" /></a><br />ichard Edward Straub, 73, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, at his home.<br /><br />Mr. Straub was born July 3, 1936, in Pittsburg, Pa., to the late Elizabeth Jennings Straub and Edward J.
